Kings Cross therapy

The support you need, two minutes from Kings Cross station

A haven of calm, tucked away in a quiet spot just a stone’s throw from the transport links of Kings Cross and St Pancras, my therapy practice combines tranquility and care with convenience.

In my beautiful, spacious Kings Cross therapy room, I offer individual psychotherapy, couples counselling, psychosexual therapy (for individuals or couples), divorce counselling and single session therapy. I see clients with a wide range of issues including anxiety, relationship difficulties, gender dysphoria, anger, trauma and abuse, ADHD, LGBTQ+ issues and sexual issues.

What’s the process if I book counselling in Kings Cross?

When you book an initial consultation, I will send you a confirmation email with all the details you need for your appointment. On the day, I will buzz you in then come to meet you and show you to my therapy room. To find out more about what happens at the initial consultation, see my blog post Starting therapy: everything you need to know.

If you choose to continue with me after the initial consultation, we will agree a regular weekly appointment, in Kings Cross, Oxford Circus or online as you prefer.

I work in Kings Cross on Wednesdays, from 8.30 am to 2.00 pm. For my current availability, please check my booking page.

The building is set up specifically for psychotherapists and counsellors, with excellent sound-proofing, so you can rest assured your sessions won’t be overheard.

Are your therapy rooms private?

Is your Kings Cross therapy practice discreet?

Yes, I understand that discretion is important to my clients. There is no company name on the front of the building, nor any indication that people visiting there are accessing therapy.

When you arrive, the intercom connects directly with my therapy room and, once I’ve buzzed you in, there’s no receptionist or anyone who you need to give your name to.

Is your Kings Cross therapy practice accessible?

Unfortunately, because it is on the first floor of a period building without a lift, my therapy room is not accessible to wheelchair users. My Oxford Circus practice is also in a period building without a lift, so the accessible option I offer is online therapy.

Does psychotherapy cost more in central London?

Yes, the reality is that therapists’ fees do tend to be a bit higher in central London, just because our costs are higher. A lot of people still prefer to have their therapy in town though, as they can fit it around their work and there’s less chance of bumping into neighbours!

I keep my fees reasonable as I want to be affordable to most people. I charge just 50% for initial consultations so you don’t have to pay a lot to find out if I’m a good fit for you. My fee structure is set out in How I work.

What does your Kings Cross therapy room look like?

As you can see from these photos, it’s a lovely, large room with lots of natural light from three big windows. I’m a big believer in creating a calm, consistent space for my clients, so it’s quite minimal and always very tidy!

Where exactly is your Kings Cross psychotherapy practice?

It’s at 1 Birkenhead Street, a quiet side street just opposite Kings Cross station itself. So it’s super-convenient but away from the hustle and bustle. If you’re travelling via Kings Cross, it could hardly be easier! It’s also really convenient for St Pancras, Clerkenwell, Euston, Bloomsbury, Barnsbury, Camden, Angel, Pentonville, and Russell Square.

Why choose me?

I’m a very experienced therapist - I’ve been seeing individuals and couples for over 15 years. I’m easy to talk to, warm, insightful and down-to-earth. I’m also pretty unflappable! I can talk about subjects like suicide, abuse, self-harm and sexual problems comfortably, and make it easier for my clients to do so.

I offer free introductory chats and half price initial consultations so that you don’t have to spend a lot to get a feel for whether I’m a good fit for you. Most clients who come for an initial consultation with me choose to continue with me, but if I’m not the right fit for you I will be happy to refer you to a colleague. I manage a large team of therapists so if I’m not the perfect fit for you there’s a good chance I know someone who is!
